Skea Eggs donate £4,000 to charity this Christmas

Egg producers for Skea are from L-R: Eugene Donnelly, Jason Farmer, Gerry Girvan, Niall McKelvey, Harold Richmond (Skea Eggs). Front row L-R: Richard Cummings (Skea Eggs) & Joe Clarke. Receiving the cheque on behalf of NI Children’s Hospice is Ellie-Louise Brown.

As we approach the end of the year we sometimes think of people less fortunate than ourselves.

This year we teamed up with our egg producers to donate money to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. The Hospice is the only service of its type within Northern Ireland caring for children and young people with very complex needs.

There are over 1,300 children and young people and their families living in Northern Ireland with life threatening illnesses who need the specialist care that only the Children’s Hospice can provide.

Local girl Ellie-Louise Brown is one of these children.  Ellie-Louise was diagnosed with leukemia just over 2 years ago and has gone through treatment since her diagnosis. Ellie-Louise has currently been given a good report and is doing well.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated and to wish every one a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!
